West Ham midfielder Ward-Prowse: One disappointment against Sheffield Utd

West Ham midfielder James Ward-Prowse felt they could've won by more against Sheffield United.

The Hammers won 2-0 against the Blades on Saturday.

“We're really pleased with the performance," Ward-Prowse told the club's website. “It was a tough game on Saturday – every game in the Premier League is tough – but especially coming up against a team who had a difficult week last week.

“We knew it was going to be a tough game, but the two early goals helped us and I think we're a little bit disappointed that we couldn't build on that [with more goals] in the second half."

He added, “Everybody at the Club has been incredibly welcoming to me.

“I knew a couple of the lads before arriving here, which made things easier, but the Player Care team, all of the staff at the training ground, everybody has been so welcoming to me, made me feel straight at home and allowed me to do my thing on the pitch.

“Of course the fans have been terrific, and it helps that we've had a good start and we've had a few performances against some of the top teams. There are plenty of positives and lots to build on."
