West Ham manager Moyes criticises Spurs scheduling

West Ham United boss David Moyes has questioned the scheduling of their upcoming game against Tottenham Hotspur.

The Hammers are battling relegation and will be looking to get points off their London rivals on Tuesday night.

But Moyes is not happy that Spurs got an extra day of rest, with their game against Manchester United on Friday.

He knows that every advantage can make a difference at this stage of the season, especially with players only just coming back from the COVID-19 shutdown.

"We've got to look at the scheduling and from our point of view we are disappointed we have been given games on a Saturday and a Tuesday in our first week back," he told reporters.

"Tottenham have the opportunity to play Friday night and Tuesday.

"I could understand it if we both had cup games on Saturday, but neither of us play for eight days. So why could the game not have been put to Wednesday or Thursday and made it fair?

"But also the broadcasters need to take responsibility and look to do their best for teams as well. Other than that we start questioning the programme."
