West Ham United are eyeing Spezia attacker M'Bala Nzola.

Nzola has been a revelation for the Serie A minnows this season following their promotion.

Sportmediaset says West Ham have made an initial approach to Spezia for more information about Nzola ahead of the January market.

However, it will take major money for Spezia to sell, with management knowing Nzola will be key to staying up this season.

Nzola joined Spezia last year from Trapani.
