West Ham manager David Moyes has earned huge praise from defender Ben Johnson.

The 23-year-old right-back may not have played in the latter stages of the club's Europa Conference League success, but bears no ill will towards Moyes.

Despite not playing in the Conference League semi finals or final, Johnson only had positive words about the Scottish veteran, who helped the club win their first trophy since 1980.

He told the Evening Standard: “He will go down as one of West Ham's best managers.

“I would have loved him to play me more, if I'm being honest. I feel I've impressed him enough to warrant more opportunities, but that's football, and we'll see what the plan is for me.

“When another final comes, hopefully I'll be playing in it."
