West Ham boss Moyes: Newcastle defeat has my job in danger

West Ham United boss David Moyes has conceded he is in serious danger of losing his job.

The veteran coach knows that power brokers at the London Stadium club may pull the plug on his tenure.

Moyes' team were thrashed 5-1 by Newcastle United at home last night, as they look to remain in the Premier League.

“No doubt [the board] are behind me, but if you lose badly like that as a manager you're always in danger," the Scot told Sky Sports.

Speaking in his post-match press conference, Moyes continued: “I'm a big boy, I've left jobs at other times in the past and if this one happens, well then I would have to go with that if that's the case.

"I really like my job here. I really like the people I work for. I've enjoyed my time greatly and I'm hoping there are a couple of big days ahead of us in the not-too-distant future."
