West Ham boss David Moyes is delighted with the form of on-loan Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard.
Lingard has stunned fans and neutrals with his impressive fitness and form after barely featuring for United before leaving two months ago, having played just 179 minutes of first-team action with bit-part roles in the EFL and FA Cups.
But Moyes, whose men host Leeds on Monday night, said: “Jesse has been really driven to play. He came in right away in training and he does not carry any weight.
“He is in good physical condition and is getting better with match practice. He is still getting there and I think he is still four or five games into it and we are still trying to get Jesse in peak condition.
“It is great that he has had such an impact as there is a lot of talk around players who come and go in January. But to get someone in who makes a difference is not an easy thing to do."
