West Brom midfielder Borja Valero has slammed Real Madrid's treatment of their Castilla players.

Valero came through the system at Real and rapped: "(Juan) Mata, (Alvaro) Negredo, (Alvaro) Arbeloa, the same (Ruben) De la Red ... they have all demonstrated away from Madrid that they have quality and that the club was wrong not to gamble on them.

"The reality is that the foreigners who are there are no better.

"(Esteban) Granero is better than (Rafael) Van der Vaart, (Fernando) Gago and (Mahamadou) Diarra, for example."
