West Brom boss Sam Allardyce has hailed Sam Johnstone as one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League.

The Baggies No1 has made more saves than any other keeper in the top flight this season – and made another outstanding stop against Liverpool.

“He's one of the best," Allardyce said when asked about Johnstone. “I think that's pleasing to see as he's one of the two most important people in your team.

“The goalscorer is the first and your goalkeeper is the second.

“He's right up there at the right level."
