Werder Bremen have warned interested clubs off Thomas Delaney.
The Denmark defender's form on-loan at FC Copenhagen has caught the eye of Premier League clubs, including Everton.
Everton No2 Erwin Koeman scouted Delaney last week.
Werder chief Frank Baumann commented: "For us it is not a theme. We do not want to go out to sell, but to the contrary reinforce the team. It is not at issue.
"There was already interest from England in the summer, but Thomas would like to stay, and nothing has changed on that front.
"He is with Werder in January."
