'We have Origi' - Liverpool boss hits out at striker shortage critics

Jurgen Klopp dismisses claims that he is short on strikers at the moment following the injury suffered by Danny Ings.

Liverpool were dealt with a huge blow recently after it emerged that summer arrival Ings would be ruled out for the rest of the season due to a serious knee injury sustained in training.

With Christian Benteke also out at the moment, many feel that Liverpool are short on strikers but manager Klopp has dismissed this claim by reminding the press that he possesses Belgian youngster Divock Origi as an alternative to Daniel Sturridge.

Klopp told reporters: "We have Origi – do you know him?

"I learned first, you do not think about the players who are not available at this moment because there is no chance to get lucky if you do this all of the time."

Klopp will oversee his first match as Liverpool boss at White Hart Lane against Tottenham on Saturday.
