Swansea City midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson was left feeling positive following the 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
The Welsh side started the current Premier League campaign in blistering fashion but had recently failed to claim a victory in their last four matches ahead of the clash against Spurs at home.
The Swans twice squandered the lead to the North Londoners but Sigurdsson was encouraged by his side's display even though they only came away with a share of the points.
Sigurdsson told Swansea City's official website: "The game could have gone either way at the end but I think it was a fair result. After recent performances we were desperate to get three points today.
"They had a few counter attacks where they could have stolen the win but we need to manage the games a little better. We started the season really well but we have not been like ourselves the last three or four performances.
"We have dropped points, which is going to happen in the season, and there is still a long way to go but if we play our style of football we will be in the top half of the table. We go away now for the international break but we can build on today's game and performance to keep the momentum going."
