Arsenal attacker Theo Walcott has vowed not to be distracted by his ongoing contract negotiations and focus purely on his football.
Having signed an extension to his deal 18 months ago, both sides have been keen to renegotiate a deal for Walcott but have as yet have been unable to agree.
Quoted in Monday's newspapers, the England international described how he is thankful to be fit and is ready to prepare for the next season, not giving the negotiations a second thought.
"I won't let that delay the way I'm going to be playing this season. I can't let that affect me, I want to do well for this club," said Walcott.
"It's my first pre-season for two years now, so I want to work hard and get fit."
