Marc Albrighton will free to join Aston Villa's pre-season after he was given the all-clear to resume training.
The 22-year old winger struggled with an ongoing thigh injury last season but is now ready to get into the full swing of things as Villa prepare for a fresh campaign under new manager Paul Lambert.
"But I have come in during the summer to make sure it is healing well and looking good.
"The physios are very positive about it and say it is progressing well."
He added: "There is a new gaffer and I'm relishing the chance to try and impress and the challenges ahead.""I am fit and I am raring to go. I strained my thigh three times in three months which was really frustrating," he said.
