Villa boss Lambert insists Helenius has future

Paul Lambert has made it clear that Nicklas Helenius has a future at Aston Villa.

The 22-year old Danish striker joined Villa from Aalborg for £1.2million in the summer but has managed just six appearances in all competitions with his only goal coming in the FA Cup loss to Sheffield United earlier this month.

Lambert recently signed Grant Holt on loan from Wigan Athletic, pushing Helenius further down the pecking order, but the Villa boss insists the Dane is are required player at Villa Park.

"He's not frustrated, that's one thing Nicklas is not. If you watch Helenius finish in training he very rarely misses the target. He's a young guy and he's learning," he told the Express & Star.
