Van der Heyden delighted with Mallorca debut for Athletic Bilbao draw

Siebe Van der Heyden was delighted making his debut for Real Mallorca against Athletic Bilbao.

The former Union SG defender helped Mallorca keep a clean sheet for the 0-0 draw.

He later said: "I'm very happy with my debut, but of course we wanted to win today. It was the most important thing for me. But maybe next game we can score goals and win the game, because in the end the most important thing of all is to score points."

Mallorca teammate Martin Valjent also told the club's website: "It was a tough, complicated opponent. We competed very well. I think the match was very even and very close. Obviously, we wanted that win, which we haven't found yet, but we will continue to work hard to find it early.

"We defend from the first to the last player. It's our base and is what feeds us. Having more or less success decides the games. We're going to work to find it."
