Union Berlin are favourites to sign Liverpool striker Taiwo Awoniyi.

After last season's successful loan with Mainz, the young Nigerian is set to return to Germany in the coming days.

BILD says Union Berlin are signing Awoniyi, although there's no news of the form of the transfer.

The 23 year-old has already rejected an offer from PAOK this summer.

Last season with Mainz 05, Awoniyi played 12 times and scored one goal. He is tied to Liverpool until 2023.
