Two red cards as Aston Villa win at Brentford in bitter clash

Aston Villa fought back from a goal down to defeat Brentford 2-1 on Sunday.

Keane Lewis-Potter had the hosts ahead at the end of the first half and the Bees were in control until the 71st minute when Ben Mee was sent off.

The defender was sent off for catching Villa attacker Leon Bailey on the ankle.

Ref David Coote originally showed Mee a yellow card but VAR then intervened and it was upgraded to a straight red.

Six minutes later Villa were level as Bailey's cross was headed in at the back post by Alex Moreno. Then Ollie Watkins headed home an 85th-minute winner from Boubacar Kamara's flick-on.

Kamara was then sent off in injury-time for pushing Yehor Yarmoliuk in the face to conclude a bitter contest which also saw both managers booked.
