Costa Rican youngster Manfred Ugalde admits he wants to play for Diego Simeone at Atletico Madrid.

Ugalde has been outstanding for Twente this season, drawing comparisons with former Ajax star Luis Suarez.

He told Voetbal International: “It is a compliment to be compared to a great player, someone whom I have often looked up to with admiration. I think we have a lot in common. We work very hard and it is difficult for us to lose the ball.

"But it is not my ambition to become the next Luis Suárez."

Ugalde also said: “One day I hope to play in LaLiga. Preferably at Atlético de Madrid with Diego Simeone."

A coach whom he has great admiration for "the way he lives every game. How he inspires his people and shouts at them. How he gets angry on the sideline. I think it's fantastic to see."
