Griezmann is eager to move Barcelona after declaring he wishes to leave Atletico this summer.

However, it's been suggested Barca would sign Griezmann and then immediately send him to PSG as part of a swap for Neymar.

But for his part, Griezmann has no interest in such a proposal, with a family source declaring the idea "delusional".

Barca would have to meet the 120m buyout clause in Griezmann's deal to sign the World Cup winner.

Real have raked in 40m from the deal, with the midfielder agreeing to a five-year contract.

The move will be rubberstamped once Llorente passes his medical.

The 24 year-old's arrival will see Atletico allow Rodrigo to leave for Manchester City or Bayern Munich.

Llorente leaves after struggling to make a first team impression at Real last season.

Atleti boss Diego Simeone is looking for another left-back with Lucas Hernandez having joined Bayern Munich.

Southampton are expected to demand around 15m.

However, Atletico and Inter are both hopeful they can nab Bertrand for less than 10m.

So the rule says. But as things stand today, does Jurgen Klopp actually need to act this summer? Is there anyone in the Premier League - including the champions - capable of matching his Liverpool next season?

Okay, okay it's early doors. There's still almost two months of the summer market left for Premier League clubs to work. But of all the contenders, including Manchester City, is anyone showing any type of threat to the European champions?

Chelsea have been knocked out by FIFA. Manchester United are still in their six-year transition. Arsenal have no money to spend. And Spurs? They're trying, but after 18 months of zero transfer activity, Daniel Levy appears to have lost his touch.

And then there's the champions. And we include City in those clubs scrambling to stay apace because of what they've already lost this summer. Make no mistake, City aren't champions without Anderlecht's new player-manager. That winner against Leicester City will go down in Sky Blues folklore. Indeed, it already has. But without Vincent Kompany's piledriver, it would've been a Double for Klopp's Reds. It was a screamer, struck by a captain whose character and personality is no easy thing to replace.

So much so that City have put that idea on the backburner. For the moment, it is midfield which has their focus. Negotiations for Rodri now in their final straight. The player having informed Atletico Madrid his wish to move on just this week. And making it all the smoother for City is his 70m buyout clause, so cutting Atleti out of all talks.

A good player. Potentially a great one. But one only to keep the team ticking over. Not to enhance it. Rodri will arrive to cover, before eventually succeeding, Fernandinho and his ageing legs. Essentially, for the moment, City are buying just to stand still.

In contrast, no-one would argue against this current Liverpool team not improving upon what we saw last season. Smashing that trophy drought - and with the biggest title of 'em all - will do wonders for the confidence and self-belief of Klopp's players.

On the road to Madrid, the manager described his team as "mentality giants". An awkward phrasing, but you get the gist. Klopp signifying how important last season's experience in Europe was for his young team. They now know what they're capable of. And more importantly, they also know at this stage in their careers, they're capable of much, much more.

Just consider Andrew Robertson's review of his past season. At 25, even as a Champions League winner, he knows his best years are ahead of him, "I've had a good season but I still have a lot of improvement to make and hopefully I can show that in the following seasons."

And who would bet against him? The new Scotland captain just one of a majority of the team who will only improve next season. Can you put a percentage on how much better Trent Alexander-Arnold will be this time next year? Virgil van Dijk? Sadio Mane? You can run right through the team and see the potential for more. What can we expect from Naby Keita after 12 months in England? What about Alisson? Does Fabinho have another gear?

All answers, for the moment, that would appear in the positive ledger. This promise of even better times ahead only made more apparent by the inaction of Liverpool's rivals.

Indeed, even the speculation around Dejan Lovren's future has presented a further example of where the Reds today stand.

While the talk of a move to AC Milan has been driven from Italy, with Zvonimir Boban's recent return to the Rossonero the obvious connection. There does seem some truth behind this, not the least the noise coming from Naples this week. The city's biggest newspaper, Il Mattino, declaring contact has been made between Liverpool intermediaries and representatives of Kalidou Koulibaly, Napoli's man-mountain centre-half.

If Liverpool are to do business with Boban about his fellow Croatian, then a move for Koulibaly would be no like-for-like addition. As good a player as Lovren is, the arrival of Sadio Mane's Senegal teammate would mean a step up. And as stubborn as Aurelio de Laurentiis, the Napoli president, can be in negotiations. Liverpool owner John W Henry has made it clear money is available for the right signing.

But this opportunity to buy from a position of strength will only be done if Lovren pushes to leave. For the moment, Klopp and this Liverpool team are still improving; moving forward. Even when they appear to be standing still.

Who's excited?!

With the season now over, most of the attention has turned to the summer transfer window.

There are stories and speculation swirling around everywhere. Sometimes it feels overwhelming.

But please don't stress, because here at Tribalfootball we will summarise the biggest stories throughout football each week and let you know whether you should believe the paper talk or not

Nabil Fekir - Lyon

Clubs Interested: Liverpool

Liverpool have been interested in signing Lyon's Nabil Fekir ever since Philippe Coutinho left Merseyside to ply his trade in the Spanish top flight.

The Reds identified Fekir as a must-have due to his similarities with Coutinho, but they decided to pull the plug on his transfer due to injury concerns.

In a bid to bolster their squad ahead of next season's title push, Liverpool are reportedly back in the mix for the Frenchman and have tabled a Lucrative contract for his services.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport's Nicolas Schira, "Liverpool have offered Fekir a contract until 2024 at 4m a year."

A deal has not been agreed between Liverpool and Lyon yet, though.

Lyon's asking price for Fekir is reportedly 50m, a fee Liverpool will have no problem paying thanks to their financial standing at the moment this one looks pretty likely.

Likelihood: Could definitely happen

Mohamed Salah - Liverpool

Clubs interested: Real Madrid, Juventus

The thought of losing Salah to another club will be mind-boggling to Liverpool fan when you consider how influential he has been to the team since his arrival at Anfield.

But from the looks of it, there is a chance, albeit small, that Salah will move elsewhere next season, according to the Daily Mirror, with the Egyptian King feeling the need to review his situation at the club when the 2019/20 season ends.

Real Madrid and Juventus are reportedly interested in signing Salah following his impressive displays for Liverpool in the Champions League.

Salah's individual displays in the 2019/20 season will determine Liverpool's willingness to let him go.

At this point him leaving next summer seems unlikely regardless of the fact that clubs are looking to secure his signature.

Likelihood: You can scrap this one

Paul Pogba - Manchester United

Clubs interested: Juventus

Italian news outlet Gazzetta dello Sport says Juventus are looking to bring Paul Pogba back to Turin just three years after his move to Manchester United.

Pogba's ability has been evident throughout his stay at Old Trafford, which is why Real Madrid view the midfielder as the final piece of their Galactico puzzle.

Because United's high asking price, Juve are looking to significantly lower his price tag by including players as part of a swap deal with the likes of Douglas Costa, Paulo Dybala and Alex Sandro being mentioned as makeweights.

Pogba is a key player for United but it would be crazy to turn down an exchange deal with Costa, Dybala and Sandro possibly involved considering they could put their talents to good use in the Premier League.

Likelihood: If they have any brains, they'll take the Juve deal!

Jose Mourinho

Clubs interested: Chelsea

Following Sarri's move to Juventus, Chelsea are on the look-out for a new manager to lead them to Premier League glory next season.

At the moment, reports suggest that they could look to their most successful manager of all time to take over the club once again.

The Sun claim that Mourinho is among the candidates for the coveted role, alongside Frank Lampard, who's preparedness for a role of that magnitude remains in doubt by a large section of the club's supporters.

Realistically there aren't that many world-class managers Chelsea could replace Sarri with and Mourinho pretty much trumps all of them with his achievements in world football so it shouldn't be much of a surprise if the Special One returns to Stamford Bridge.

Likelihood: Third time lucky?

Yannick Carrasco - Dalian Yifang

Clubs Involved: Arsenal

Arsenal's usual woes have already begun even before the start of the season as they have managed to miss out on former Atletico Madrid winger, Yannick Carrasco due to the club's transfer budget.

According to The Sun, Emery has just 45m to bolster his squad this summer.

And with Carrasco currently priced at 30m, Arsenal would have to use more than half of their transfer budget to sign him, whilst neglecting other areas of the squad in dire need of improvements.

It is difficult to see how Arsenal will build a squad good enough to challenge for the top-four if they can't sign players like Carrasco.

Likelihood: A disappointing no for Gooners

The Atletico Madrid star wants to move to Barca this summer and Okdiario reports personal terms have been struck.

However, Okdiario's chief pundit Eduardo Inda, speaking on El Chiringuito, says Messi doesn't want Griezmann to arrive.

"They tell me Leo Messi has vetoed Griezmann," revealed Inda, "it's possible that Griezmann could be sold to PSG, along with (Ousmane) Dembl, and that would bring Neymar. That could be the deal."

Indeed, there's a suggestion Barca would be willing to buy Griezmann from Atletico Madrid and immediately send him to PSG in part-exchange for Neymar.

While Real Madrid have spent big this summer on a raft of additions, Tebas doubts Barca can do the same regarding PSG star Neymar and Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann.

He insists Barca would have to first sell to fit into financial fair play demands.

"Can they afford to have them both on the same team? It depends on who they sell, I do not have the numbers here and I could be wrong," said Tebas.

The LaLiga supremo also commented on Benfica starlet Joao Felix's potential move to Atletico Madrid.

He added: "Any player who is great is welcome to Spanish football."
