Tottenham Hotspur wingback Ivan Perisic has taken to social media after news of his long term injury.

The Croatian veteran, who has played for Inter Milan and other illustrious clubs in his career, suffered an ACL injury.

Perisic broke down during non-contact training, with the injury requiring surgery and a likely one-year absence.

Writing on Instagram, the Croatian international said: "'Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up.

"Figure out how to climb it, go through it or work around it.' M. Jordan.

"Thank you for all your support. It means the world to me (Boar emoji) (Tornado emoji) (Praying emoji)."
