Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is set to reap the financial rewards of Spurs' outstanding Premier League season.
The Daily Mail is reporting the Argentine is on the verge of signing a new contract at White Hart Lane worth £3.5million-a-season – a £1.5million-a-year increase on his current deal, which still has three years to run.
The 44-year-old has guided Tottenham into second place on the Premier League ladder and within touching distance of an historic first Premier League title.
The North London club currently sit five points behind surprise-packets Leicester City with eight matches remaining.
It is understood both Spurs and Pochettino are in no rush to finalise the deal, with both parties preferring to have 100 per cent of the club's focus on winning the Premier League title.
