Tottenham forward Harry Kane understands he must perform in this season's Champions League to elevate his reputation.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino recently revealed that the England international studies the games of both Ronaldo and Messi and compares their stats to his own.
As Spurs prepare for their opening match against Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night, Kane knows he must deliver on the pitch if he wants to reach such lofty heights.
"If you want to be put in that bracket you have to perform in that competition," he said.
"It's a big stage, it's massive. All the best players are there. You have to produce your best against the best.
"There's six group games to prove that, to try and score as many goals as possible and try to perform well."
