Tottenham signing Sissoko can’t wait to finally experience Champions League

Moussa Sissoko is eagerly anticipating his first Champions League appearance.

The French attacking midfielder joined Tottenham Hotspur from Newcastle United in the summer with the goal of competing in Europe's premier club competition.

Ahead of Spurs' group stage opener against Monaco at Wembley, Sissoko spoke of his desire to play in the Champions League while revealing what he will bring to the North London outfit for their campaign.

"It has been a long time that I want to contest the Champions League. And this is the reason why I decided to join this big club," he said.

"I can't tell you a date at which I will be at my peak level, but I am better and better with every game.

"I will work in training to be at 100 per cent as soon as possible."

"My power and my strength. I have a lot of energy. Everyone knows I like going forward, so maybe it is something I can add."

Sissoko made his Tottenham debut as a alike substitute in the weekend's 4-0 Premier League win over Stoke City.
