Tottenham Hotspur want to offload Christian Eriksen and Victor Wanyama before signing a new midfielder.
Reports have claimed Spurs are on the hunt from midfield reinforcements after Moussa Sissoko was ruled out for three months with a knee injury.
Jose Mourinho also wants to sign another forward after Harry Kane's hamstring injury.
But chief Daniel Levy wants to sell fringe players before making any moves, according to the Evening Standard.
Levy is desperate to recoup some money for Eriksen, who can leave for free in the summer.
Wanyama has played just 9 minutes in 12 matches since Mourinho arrived.
