Tottenham revive interest for Spartak Moscow keeper Pletikosa

Spartak Moscow goalkeeper Stipe Pletikosa is again in the sights of Tottenham.

The Daily Mail says the Croatia No 1 agreed a move to White Hart Lane last August only to suffer a serious knee injury before travelling to London to formalise the deal.

Harry Redknapp invited the 31-year-old to England in the winter for further talks but both sides agreed to reconsider their options in the summer because the injury was not fully healed.

But Pletikosa is now in shape to complete the move and Spurs are expected to propose an initial season-long loan with the option of making the transfer permanent next summer.

Pletikosa is highly rated but has been frozen out by Spartak boss Valery Karpin because the club struggle to meet Russian Premier League rules limiting the amount of foreign players.
