Tottenham Hotspur are not keen to allow Bryan Gil to return to Valencia in a loan move.
The Spanish club are hoping to secure Gil before the transfer window closed.
The winger was impressive at Valencia on loan during the second half of last term.
According to the Evening Standard, Spurs will only sanction Gil's exit if they sign a replacement.
Manager Antonio Conte does not want to find himself light in an attacking position, considering they are preparing for a long season in multiple competitions.
Gil is presently competing with Harry Kane, Heung-min Son, Dejan Kulusevski, Richarlison and Lucas Moura for three attacking positions.
