Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg admits they blew their FA Cup defeat at Middlesbrough last night.

The Dane laments Spurs failing to take their chances.

He said, "Middlesbrough created momentum in parts of the match. In some periods we stood up well, while in others we struggled a bit to be compact, but we had the chances to be able to score and to win the match.

"When you do not take advantage of your chances, you give Middlesbrough the faith in things, and the fans get the opportunity to become the important 12th man.

"But we should have taken advantage of the chances we had, so we could have closed and extinguished the match. I am really disappointed."
