Tottenham goalkeeper Vicario: We must learn from late Palace goal

Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario says they should everything one game at the time after victory at Crystal Palace.

Spurs are now five points clear at the top of the table.

Spurs held a 2-0 lead through an own goal and Heung-min Son effort before Jordan Ayew's injury-time goal.

Vicario said: "Yeah I think we have to be happy for tonight because it was a tough game. We saw in the first half they play compact so we can't find the right line to pass the press. But we maintain focus and in the second half we show what we can do. But maybe to say a bit more concentrated in the last minutes. We have to stay focused for 100 minutes because just a little [lapse] can compromise a big win. We can enjoy this weekend and prepare for the next match."

On conceding late on, he added: "Every game you want to keep a clean sheet. I am a little bit sad because it was in the 95 minutes. It is not so good for a keeper but I am happy for the lads. Great team spirit and we keep going.

"Of course, the performance is made by work during the week. We work hard, we train hard. We have to keep going and keep improving but we would like to be the top. We have to work a lot and then recovery and we go again.

"We don't have to focus on the table. Just preparing for the next match, focus on that, good recovery and then a good week of work. We can manage this situation and not look ahead too much."
