Tottenham are pushing to land Fulham wing-back Ryan Sessegnon.

The Daily Mail says negotiations between the two clubs are understood to be in the final stages, with a transfer fee in the region of £30million close to being agreed.

Fulham's season starts against Barnsley on Saturday but manager Scott Parker, who insisted on Friday he expected Sessegnon to be at Craven Cottage beyond Thursday's transfer window, is set to leave his prized-asset out of his team for the clash as the England Under 21 star nears a switch to north London.

Spurs have ramped up their efforts to strengthen their squad after Mauricio Pochettino publicly vented his frustrations about the lack of activity earlier this week.
