Harry Winks is closing in on a return to first-team action for Tottenham as the club aims to ensure a top four finish this season in order to qualify for next season's Champions League.
Winks has battled with ankle problems this season and has been restricted to just three FA Cup appearances in 2018.
After spending time with specialists in Qatar, the Lilywhites are confident that the 22-year-old does not require surgery and they hope that he can return to action as soon as possible.
Winks was brilliant during the early parts of this season and managed to earn himself a debut for the England national team against Lithuania last October.
