Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has made an offer to Real Madrid president Florentino Perez for Gareth Bale's return.
AS says Levy expressed interest in Bale during the January market - though found any prospect of bringing him back to London unrealistic due to the Welshman's €12m salary.
However, the Spurs chairman hasn't dropped his plans and returned to Florentino with a new proposal.
Levy is ready to take Bale on-loan next season - if Real agree to cover a majority of his salary. The option could be welcomed by Florentino should new coach Zinedine Zidane make it clear he doesn't consider the attacker part of his plans.
