Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris says it's critical manager Mauricio Pochettino stays.

Pochettino appears to have missed out on moves to Real Madrid and Manchester United.

Lloris told L'Equipe: "The Tottenham project is the Mauricio Pochettino project.

"He has been here for years and has done an extraordinary amount of work, but that has not yet been rewarded with cups. I am not going to hide that our relationship is very good, more than just player and manager.

"There is mutual respect."
