Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino claims that Harry Kane is at the same level as Argentine legend Gabriel Batistuta.
Kane scored a brace in the 3-0 win over Everton on Sunday, and took his Premier League goal tally to 101. The England international has achieved the significant landmark in just 169 appearances.
"Yes, yes, yes, yes — Batistuta was a killer," said Pochettino who played with Batistuta for the Argentina national team.
"Very strong mentality; very strong shot, great professional. You can compare. For me, OK, I put Batistuta there . . . ' he said putting his hand in the air, ' . . . and Harry there,' after lowering it a bit.
"But Harry can be better. He is a killer, Harry Kane. Look at the goals he scored the last years! Mental level? Yes. Absolutely (they are the same). Maybe they have different characteristics but I think he is in that level, with Batistuta."
