Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho insists French clubs have had an advantage in Europe this month.
Mourinho was previewing the Champions League final between Bayern Munich and PSG.
He declared: "It was tired troops we sent away. Unlike the French, who came fresh to the final tournament after their break.
"The French were on holiday, played a few training matches and were in top form both mentally and physically. For them, this is not the end of the season, but the beginning of a new one. They are completely fresh.
"That's why this is not the real Champions League or Europa League. There are simply too many outside things influencing. But when you stand with your hands on the trophy in the end, then of course you have done well."
