Dele Alli has been named the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) Young Player of the Year.
The Tottenham Hotspur star landed the 2015/16 young player prize in his debut campaign in the Premier League after crossing from League One outfit MK Dons in the summer.
Alli, 20, beat Spurs teammate Harry Kane as well as Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho, Everton duo Romelu Lukaku and Ross Barkley, and Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland to the award but was not present at the ceremony at Grosvenor House in London on Sunday due to Monday night's clash with West Bromwich Albion.
Spurs great Ossie Ardiles received the award on behalf of Alli who prepared a message to acknowledge his win.
"Thank you Ossie, the Tottenham legend for receiving this award for me," England international Alli said.
"Sorry I can't be there tonight but we have a big game tomorrow. Thank you for to everyone who voted for me.
"I feel honoured to win such a prestigious award and thank you to my friends, family and all the staff at Tottenham."
Alli has scored 10 goals and provided nine assists for Tottenham in 32 league appearances this season.
