Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has urged Germany teammate Kai Havertz to ignore his critics.

The Arsenal attacker's place for club and country has been questioned this season.

Havertz particularly upset German fans when questioning their support at last season's World Cup.

But Ter Stegen said: "As players, we should only focus on one thing, and that is the results.

"Unfortunately, there were too many problems surrounding the World Cup that worried us as much as the fans.

"I am happy that the WC is now over."
