Sweden captain Granqvist: It's all about stopping Kane

Sweden captain Andreas Granqvist knows silencing England rival Harry Kane is key to victory in their World Cup quarterfinal today.

Granqvist has insisted the Swedes have worked on nullifying Golden Boot race leader Kane and his team-mates at set-pieces - and hope to provide their own threat.4

He said of the Tottenham and England star: “He's incredibly skilled, not just at penalties, but as a striker.

“He's good at everything and it's going to be a very tough match against him. But we're going to do everything to stop him."

He added: “We do the job 100 per cent and we dare to have our own attacking style.

“This is why we've won most of our games. The set-pieces, we've been very strong. “This is one of England's strengths as well. But we know, of course, that they have Kane, who is really dangerous in the penalty box.

“And we've given opponents sometimes the opportunity to cross balls from the sides.

“So we need to be very strong in the box and try to make sure that they don't get the service that they need."
