Swansea City are nearing the transfer of Napoli defender Federico Fernandez according to reports.
The Daily Mail reports that the Welsh club have had a £8million offer accepted by Napoli for the 25-year old Argentine centre-back.
Swansea are confident of wrapping up the deal before the weekend despite the fact they need a work permit for Fernandez who played for Argentina at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Fernandez arrived in Naples from Estudiantes la Plata in 2011 and has since made 64 appearances for Partenopei as well as a 14-game loan spell with Spanish club Getafe last year.
