Swansea City boss Garry Monk is surprised by Sam Allardyce's claims that West Ham United considered signing Wilfried Bony.
Bony has since scored 31 goals compared to two by injury-hit Carroll and is the Premier League's joint top-scorer during 2014, along with Sergio Aguero.
But Monk is not convinced that Bony moving to West Ham was ever a realistic option.
He said: "It's the first I've heard of that. But if that's what they were doing obviously they didn't really want him enough.
"It is not a concern for us, but I am sure every club can say that they were looking at this player and that."
