Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill is chasing Tottenham defender Michael Dawson.

The Mirror says O'Neill is considering making his move for Dawson after the Tottenham defender rejected a move across London to join Queens Park Rangers.

The Black Cats boss has been busy in the transfer market after landing Steven Fletcher and Adam Johnson for a combined £22million in recent days.

And a further £9m could be added tot hat total if he can persuade the England international, 28, to head north to the Stadium of Light.
