As Premiership rivals look on, Celtic continue to haggle with Nancy over midfielder Landry N'Guemo.
The Daily Mail says Celtic's bid to land loan star N'Guemo was given an unexpected boost when Nancy agreed to extend the £1.8m buy-out clause on his contract until the end of the week.
The Parkhead side originally had until 5pm yesterday to exercise first option on the Cameroon World Cup star and bring him to the SPL on a permanent contract.
But, after Celtic's initial £1.2m offer was rejected by the French club 10 days ago, the Hoops faced the prospect of missing out on N'Guemo to Wigan and Sunderland.
However, the French club are willing to wait until Friday before they put their midfielder on the open market.
