Sunderland have joined the battle for Ipswich Town superkid Connor Wickham.
Tottenham made a £5 million move for the teenage striker this week. However, Sunderland boss Steve Bruce is now ready to get serious and will seek to make a cash-plus-players deal.
Bruce confirmed last week his admiration for Wickham.
