Marko Arnautovic enjoyed his first win of 2013 following Stoke City's victory over Sunderland.
The Austrian star has been slaughtered in the German press for a winless streak which took in 12 games at former club Werder Bremen and a further eight for the Potters.
Arnautovic said: "German newspapers are what they are... I will leave them alone. They can say whatever they want - I don't care what they say.
"For me, it is just nice to get three points. I love it here at Stoke and I love it here in England."
