Stoke City attacker Jese Rodriguez has stated that former clubs Real Madrid and Las Palmas will always be in his heart.

Despite having unceremoniously departed from the two clubs in recent years, the Spanish international admits that he still holds them close to his heart.

He said: "In Madrid I lived fantastic years, as in Gran Canaria, and I wish both clubs the best. They are two teams that I will always carry in my heart.

"But now I think of the present, and next is the game against Newcastle, a new opportunity to prove my worth. I have to work and keep growing in this competition. In the future who knows, I do not close any door."
