Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland admits he is excited ahead of the Under-21 European Championship.
Butland will be captaining the England U21 squad during the summer Euros held in the Czech Republic and there is a huge sense of optimism back home that the Young Lions will succeed in the competition.
With the team now being assembled ahead of the start of the tournament, Butland has expressed his excitement and is hoping to do England's favourites' tag justice.
Speaking to the Stoke Sentinel, Butland said: "It's been a long campaign and we've had a lot of success and good times together along the way.
"It seems a long time since our last qualifying game in October, so now everyone's here and really excited to be together and cracking on in a great tournament."
