Amanda Staveley is still keen on acquiring Premier League side Newcastle United, according to reports from the Chronicle.

Financier Staveley is spearheading PCP Partners' bid to take over at United after owner Mike Ashley put up the club for sale last month.

It seemed like the potential deal could be off due to a long delay but in an update, revelations have been made that Staveley's group are currently at the due diligence stage with United and a takeover is still on the cards.
