Tottenham are now favourites ahead of Arsenal to sign wantaway Brighton attacker Leandro Trossard.

That appears to be the view of transfer expert Fabrizio Romano as both London clubs look for a new wideman this month.

Romano told wettfreunde: “Tottenham is exploring the situation with Leandro Trossard right now.

"He is a very good player and he is available on the market now."

"So Tottenham are in conversations with Trossard but at the moment their talks are not very advanced."

Romano added: "Arsenal could also be interested after the situation with Mudryk and I think the next few days will be crucial... they have to decide what they want now."

"So Arsenal is a possibility for Trossard but I think Tottenham are more likely to sign him."
