Tottenham believe they can get one of their prime defensive targets in the coming weeks.

The Premier League side are hopeful of signing Wolfsburg defender Micky van de Ven.

Per The Mail, Spurs believe they can get their man for around £30 million from the Bundesliga club.

Van de Ven is a 22-year-old center half who enjoyed a great 2022-2023 season, playing 33 league games for Wolfsburg.

He was also linked to Liverpool, but their focus is firmly on signing midfielders at present.

Spurs see this as a chance to nab their man before any other top sides make a bid.
