Southampton will not consider including Morgan Schneiderlin in their push for Tottenham winger Andros Townsend.
The Daily Echo says Koeman is understood to be keen to land the 23-year-old Spurs star and sees Townsend as an ideal fit as he looks to capture a winger before the close of the transfer window.
However, Tottenham have thus far pulled up the barriers on Saints' attempts to land Townsend, as the St Mary's club have done with Spurs' bid for Schneiderlin.
Saints remain hopeful of signing Townsend before the end of the window, with the winger in a different situation to Schneiderlin being on the fringes of the first team squad rather than a key player.
