Southampton have joined the battle for Napoli striker Manolo Gabbiadini.
The Italy international is up for sale this month and already attracted a bid from Everton.
Sportitalia says Saints and Wolfsburg now lead the race for Gabbiadini, with Marseille's latest offer falling well short.
Both Saints and VfL are in the market for a player of Gabbiadini's type and Napoli expect bids to be soon tabled.
